Olympic Fever Hits Southwold

Olympic fever is gripping the country. As the Olympic opening ceremony draws closer, the Torch is steadily making its way around the country. Hundreds of Britons will be taking part in the torch relay, with twelve local heroes set to carry it through Southwold on the 5th July.

Southwold’s relay begins with Venture Scout leader and fundraiser extraordinaire Anne Dow, followed by village organiser Caroline Emeny, jungle marathon runner Craig Jarvis, aspiring Ballerina Dayle Edwards, and Special Constable Richard Game.

The torch will arrive in Southwold after its trip to Lowestoft, and the town is already gearing up for a truly unforgettable afternoon.

If you want to get into the Olympic spirit, why not grab yourself an Olympic souvenir torch to wave on the sidelines and show your support?
