The line up for Southwold’s Latitude festival just got bigger and better with even more artists named to play.
Ed Sheeran bursts onto the Latitude scene, after some manic years of gigging. In 2009 Sheeran played 312 gigs after a life of living on the road going from gig to gig.
The self made singer songwriters hard work has paid off. Sheeran, just 20 years old, from Halifax, has become a Youtube sensation with millions of hits and is set to rise to fame in the coming year.
Lining up with Sheeran in Southwold, are Scottish Indie Rock band Glasvegas are one of many new bands to be named. The multi award winning band, were first formed in 2003 by cousins James and Rab Allen.
The band went on to release a platinum selling album, with critics calling Glasvegas a revelation on the Indie scene.
They Might Be Giants are also set to play at Latitude. Having formed slightly earlier, (1982!), the alternative band have had years of worldwide success. Fans of Sky One show Malcolm in the Middle, will recognise the track ‘Not the Boss of Me’, which featured as the title music for the hit show.
Southwold’s Latitude Festival is getting better and better and is set to be the biggest yet. Southwold is ready for some Latitude!
