Take time to explore the public parks around Southwold
Southwold is an area well known for the beach, a charming town and the fantastic restaurants and tea rooms. What it is less well known for is its park areas.
However in recent years this changed as local park Henham Park became the location for the Latitude festival. Aside from attracting some of the biggest names in music the festival also provides a lot of attractions for people who love comedy, literature, performance art and much more.
The park is also home of other events such as the Henham Steam Rally. When it is not being used for events the area is used by locals as a great area for sports, recreation and generally a great place to wander around.
In Southwold itself Tibby’s Green is an area that is ideal if you have kids- the play area gives them the facilities they need while at the same time giving you the space you need to enjoy the local nature and still be able to keep an eye on your kids. The green is also the home of St Edmunds Chuch, a beautiful building that is well worth exploring.
In short Southwold may be most known for the beach but it is equally worth exploring further afield to get the full experience of the beautiful local area.
