Stunning Southwold

Posted on 23 May 2012 by Mark

Thanks to its stunning houses and its uniquely East Angian charms, Southwold will always be a magnet for homebuyers, but with the rise of national letting agencies, what can smaller local agencies do to stay in the game?

Their greatest hope may lie in new Property Management Software from CFP, which provides local firms with online facilities that rival those of the largest national companies.

Until now, the cost of dedicated systems has been prohibitively expensive, but with CFP’s software, local agents can now take advantage of dedicated social media marketing tools, virtual tours and even their own iPhone and Android apps!

By combining these cutting edge sales tools with the personal touch you only get from a local service, even the smallest agency can compete with the big boys of the industry.

A Taste of Mongolia in Suffolk

Posted on 05 July 2011 by Mark

A traditional seaside holiday is always a great idea for Britain’s summer season. Towns like Southwold attract thousands of people each year, with it’s beautiful coastline, restaurants and places to stay.

Yet a couple in nearby Westhall, have introduced a slightly more exotic holiday in the Suffolk countryside. Nick and Kim Hoare are ready to open the doors to their new project tomorrow at Ivy Grange Farm, after two years in the making.

Their idea is the Yurt, a traditional Mongolian, semi permanent tent structure. Usually with a camping holiday, you feel a bit closer to the outdoors and this luxury experience will be no different.

The couple are offering an experience you won’t forget. The tents are fully solar powered and guests are invited to pick their own food, in the resorts vegetable and fruit patches. The summer season is great for potatoes, rocket courgettes and tomatoes, as well as the classic summer strawberry.

Mrs Hoare told the Beccles and Bungay Journal, “We wanted to do something together and do a business which fits in with our ethos. People will be offered the experience of staying in one of the two yurts available; a traditional Mongolian yurt or another dubbed the English one.”

Plans for the Yurt’s haven’t stopped there either, as Mr Hoare told the journal about the future of the site, “We are hoping to eventually run courses about local industry, bird watching, painting, yoga, to be run by experts for special weekends. People will also be able to borrow bikes eventually.”

The chance to have a slice of Mongolian living near Southwold is something you don’t get every day. Being in the heart of Suffolk will give you the chance to visit everywhere from Southwold itself to nearby Halesworth and Kessingland.
