The Southwold Pier is getting a step closer to it’s brand new 30 bedroom, luxury hotel located at the shoreward end of the Southwold Pier in Suffolk.
The Southwold Pier is getting a step closer to it’s brand new 30 bedroom, luxury hotel located at the shoreward end of the Southwold Pier in Suffolk. The Southwold Pier plans to hold a pitch to find an interior design consultancy sometime in 2011. The new hotel development was designed by Chelmsford based architect Barefoot & Gilles, with the new Southwold Pier hotel’s exterior being inspired by the Art Deco movement.
The hotel bedrooms will be designed to appeal to families, but using ’an imaginative and unusual’ style, according to the hotel’s co-owner Antonia Bournes. The interiors brief will include the design of public areas including the reception area and the hallways.
Visitors to Southwold in Suffolk could be staying in the new hotel by 2011.
